Sitecore digital project for SWK Stadtwerke Krefeld AG

We set new standards for the digital success of the municipal utilities in Krefeld (SWK). We have won the contract for the large digital project to create a holistic customer platform on which all the services of the Group and interactions between customers and employees are brought together.

As part of a complete website relaunch, the online presence of www.swk.de, including sub and landing pages, shall become an even more user-friendly customer portal. SWK has various requirements for the new website, including easy-to-use templates and the integration of chatbots and artificial intelligence to advise customers even more quickly and accurately.

Digital solution for a tangible range of services

For the relaunch of the website and the digitalisation of customer-related processes, ecx.io will use a unique visual language within the project concept for a high recognition value. A simple and clear presentation of the contents is focused on the most important element: the customers of SWK.

The new holistic platform, which is based on Sitecore technology, is intended to offer all SWK services in a clear way from a single source in the future.

“In conjunction with SWK we will implement an innovative concept that focuses on the end customer, and makes the services of SWK Stadtwerke Krefeld fully digitally tangible”, states Markus Dietrich, Vice President Germany at ecx.io. “We are currently analysing the market and the targets. At the same time, we will evaluate the user perspective through user research. The findings will be combined and solutions for the strategic challenge worked on through technology and creativity in interdisciplinary teams”.

Minimum Viable Product as a starting point

ecx.io creates the digital foundation for a state-of-the-art platform and paves the way for effective and user-centred data usage to create a strong digital platform for SWK’s customers. Part of the first phase of the project is the analysis of data, the collection of authentic customer feedback and the carrying out of usability tests.

The approach of the digital agency combines agile elements that allow a flexible approach to the business needs of SWK. After the successful completion of the project, SWK should benefit from an increase in sales through new customer acquisition and existing customer loyalty, as well as a strengthening of the brand image. SWK customers can look forward to simplified process management in the future.
