Co-founder Helmut Nachbauer leaves the digital agency – Managing Director Markus Dietrich is taking over

Passing the baton at the top of – part of IBM iX: After 23 years, co-founder and Managing Director Helmut Nachbauer is leaving the digital agency. His role as CEO and the further development of will be taken over by Managing Director Markus Dietrich, who is currently responsible for the existing customer business at

Together with Klaus Oberlehner, Helmut Nachbauer founded the Austrian part of the digital agency in Wels in 1998, which later emerged from the fusion of a German and an Austrian provider. Klaus Oberlehner continues to be a member of’s Leadership Team as Managing Director. Since 2016, is also part of the IBM iX agency family.

“23 years ago, Klaus Oberlehner and I would never have dreamed that today we would have such a great team with 500 employees. In the last five years, we have been able to continue the success story together with IBM. During this time, we have won more well-known clients and intensified the strategic partnership with our technology partners Adobe, SAP CX and Sitecore. This way, we were able to triple our turnover and the great team behind the success. As the leading agency in DACH for digital platforms, digital marketing, and e-commerce solutions, I see as being ideally positioned for the future today – and that’s why the change feels right for me 23 years after the founding. I am very proud to have been part of this journey,” says Helmut Nachbauer.

The clients of the digital agency include companies such as Wienerberger, Henkel, Grohe and Fressnapf.

Next doubling of turnover in sight

The digital agency’s course remains set for growth: “We have big plans. For the next few years, we plan to double our turnover again and expand the team by 250 new colleagues at our locations in Germany, Austria, and Croatia. We are more than ready to accompany and inspire our existing and new customers with strategic, technological, and creative expertise in their digital transformation,” says Markus Dietrich, who is tackling the goals together with a highly motivated leadership team, which will be expanded by colleagues from the company’s own ranks in the course of the handover. Markus Dietrich has been part of since 2007 and has already held various positions in consulting, sales, project, and account management. Since January 2015, he has been Managing Director and has led the expansion of the rapidly growing consulting team.
